Without a Bruincard, you cannot do a lot of things here. So go
to the BruinCard Office in Kerchkoff Hall and get your photo taken unless you
have sent them your photo at least 6 weeks in advance, It is free for the first
card, but you have to pay $22 if you lose it. Sometimes, they will replace it
for free if you can prove that your BruinCard does not work when you swipe it
to enter your dorm.
You can deposit money into Bruincard as well for laundry (only
applicable for some dorms), buying food on campus and possibly in some stores
in Westwood. There are two accounts in Bruincard, i.e. one specifically for
food (swipes) and another for general purposes. It is advisable to deposit money
in the general purposes account since you can also use it to buy food.
